The MatCat Lab is committed to K-12 outreach and education to broaden participation in STEM fields. The group has participated in numerous outreach events sponsored by PCCM and PPL, including the annual Spring Into Science and World of Materials Science Day. Through these events, the MatCat Lab has provided hands-on science demonstrations for hundreds of K-12 students.
Spring Into Science
Spring Into Science, hosted by Science Outreach at Princeton, brings in 800+ 4th-10th-grade students and their families annually. These students engage with the research community at Princeton through hands-on science demonstrations, presentations, and table exhibitions.

World of Materials Science Day
World of Materials Science Day brings in hundreds of students and Princeton community members to the public library to learn about new research in materials science disciplines.
